About

Jungle Harmony, inspired by the harmony of the Amazon rainforest, was founded in February 2020 by Co-Founders Cleo Baum and Cesar Lezama, who have always cherished the experience of retreats. For them, these retreats were not just gatherings but profound journeys made possible by the wisdom of the grandfathers who passed down ancient knowledge. Through their work, they aimed not only to support these elders and their families but also to protect the endangered lands, cultures, and animals that nurture the sacred healing plants and traditions. This project embodies a heartfelt mission, combining their passion for healing with a commitment to preserving the rich tapestry of life and wisdom that sustains it.

The transformation that jungle harmony offers starts with your intention but is not limited to your wildest imagination. Working with not just plant medicine but also the ancestral spirits that come alive and co-facilitate the ceremonies is a vital factor to guaranteeing you a successful experience.

Jungle Harmony is rooted in the Cofán tradition. The Cofán tradition refers to the cultural practices, beliefs, and customs of the Cofán people, an indigenous group native to the Amazon rainforest, primarily located in Ecuador and Colombia. The Cofán people have a deep spiritual connection to nature and the rainforest, viewing it as a living entity that is sacred and interconnected with all life. They believe in the presence of ancestral spirits and the importance of maintaining harmony with the environment. The Cofán have a rich tradition of herbal medicine and healing practices passed down through generations. They utilize various plants for medicinal purposes and employ rituals to connect with spiritual guides during healing ceremonies.Traditional ceremonies, often conducted by esteemed shamans or healers, involve the use of plant medicines, such as ayahuasca, for spiritual exploration, healing, and personal transformation. These rituals are integral to maintaining health and community ties.

Additionally we honor a sweat lodge ceremony, also known as a sweat ceremony or purification ceremony, is a traditional spiritual practice used by various Indigenous cultures in North America and other regions. The sweat lodge ceremony is a sacred practice that emphasizes respect, humility, and connection to nature and the spiritual world. It is important for participants to approach the experience with reverence.

Special experiences you can expect at Jungle Harmony include but are not limited to: plant medicine ceremonies. Where you will commune with the plant brew called Yagé. It is almost identical to Ayahuasca. Our Yagé shaman is one of the few who has studies and facilitates Yagé ceremonies during the day time.

You will experience a plant bath ritual that is divided into male and female sessions. Whilst being bathed in two separate medicinal herbal baths you are guided on a meditative journey within.

We offer interactive classes about grandfather tobacco, mother coca, the sacred fire and the spirit of water.

Daily group sharing sessions allow for a grounded process and our individual sessions will help you harness the most from your time with us.
